The LSU Online Opportunity Pathway is a unique partnership between LSU and LSU Eunice (LSUE), offered through LSU Online. Through this program, you can enroll in a 100% online Certificate of General Studies or associate degree through LSUE and earn the credits to become eligible to transfer into LSU.
How It Works
Whether you’re starting from scratch or have already earned some college credits, the LSU Online Opportunity Pathway offers two simple tracks to get you on the path to LSU:
Online Certificate of General Studies
This fully online 30-credit certificate from LSUE builds your skills in college-level writing, math, humanities, and the social and natural sciences. It’s an affordable, fast-track credential that can help you meet LSU’s transfer requirements while strengthening your academic confidence. After finishing this program with a 2.5 GPA, you can transfer into one of LSU’s approved bachelor’s programs.

Online Associate Degree
If you already have 22 or more transferable credits, you’ll likely be advised to pursue an online associate degree through LSUE. After completing your associate with a 2.5 GPA and meeting transfer requirements, you’ll be ready to apply to LSU and finish your bachelor’s.

- LSUE Associate of Science in Criminal Justice
- LSUE Associate of Applied Science in Fire and Emergency Services
- LSUE Associate of General Studies
- LSUE Associate of Arts in Humanities
- LSUE Associate of Applied Science in Management
- LSUE Associate of Arts in Social Sciences
What Can I Study at LSU After Transferring?
Through this pathway, students who meet all requirements can transfer into one of these LSU bachelor's degrees without reapplying or paying an additional application fee:
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science ›

Bachelor of Science in Leadership & Human Resource Development (LHRD) ›

M.J. Foster Promise Program
Financial assistance is available for qualifying Louisiana residents through the M.J. Foster Promise Program. All applicants will be required to complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility.
