Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, an applicant must meet the minimum requirements for admission to UNO. Those requirements vary depending on whether the applicant will be a first-year freshman, transfer student, international student, returning student, or post-baccalaureate student (see Admissions). Beyond what UNO requires for admission, the online B.A in Philosophy program also requires the following:

- The discipline, dedication, and desire necessary to complete a degree online
Applying for this program requires completing the UNO Application online via Admissions. There are two options for the Philosophy major. Make sure that you select the Philosophy-Online option.

1 Students must earn a maximum of 30 semester hours of credit at UNO to earn a bachelors. If a student could transfer the max of 90 credits, the total cost for the remaining 30 credits would be $14,160.00.

- UNI 1001 is required for all first-time full-time students. Enrollment is optional for transfer students within their 30 hours of credit at UNO.
- Liberal arts majors meet their foreign language by completing either 1001, 1002, & 2001 in one foreign language (Spanish OR French), or completing 1001 & 1002 in two foreign languages (Spanish AND French).
- A minimum of 34 credit hours of PHIL courses, including at least 18 credits in courses numbered above 3001, is required for the major in philosophy.
- Majors are required to take PHIL 3030 during their senior year.
